Family Service Preneed Advisor (full-time)

Position Overview – This position is located in Des Moines Iowa and surrounding metropolitan area.  The qualified candidate needs to be a self-motivated individual willing to meet with families and offer advance funeral planning options.  Bilingual Spanish is a plus.  This position is ideal for someone who is caring, open-minded, self-starting, and enjoy working one on one with people.  We are looking for individuals who believe or have experienced the positive impact advance planning has on families and can effectively communicate the benefits.  In addition, a high level of ethical and moral standards is a must.  Everyone within our organization from administrative staff to top management exists for one purpose:  to support the work of the Family Service Counselor.  We provide ongoing training, field support, proven marketing program with materials and lead generation.

Job Qualifications – High School Diploma or GED preferred.  Basic Computer skills needed. Consistent attendance and punctuality. The ability to respond to common inquiries from families, or members of the community.  Must have reliable transportation.  Must pass a pre-employment background check.  Bilingual Spanish is a plus.   

Schedule - This position is a full-time position, however the work schedule does allow for a high level of control and flexibility.  Good time-management, self-motivation and the ability to ask for referrals are key elements in this position. Compensation is commission based. In addition, compensation is enhanced by bonus and incentive programs.  Preneed Counselors performing at Career Counselor or higher volume levels enjoy health insurance reimbursement, financial security package and the opportunity to be part of PreNeed Systems Diamond Club.

FUNERAL DIRECTOR ASSISTANT (Part-Time)

  • Position Overview: Responsible for learning the Iles Funeral Homes mission and goals; to look and act professionally in appearance, in verbal, written and listening skills; manage time and resources appropriately; maintain quality of service that our customers expect in all aspects of the job; and work as a team member with a positive attitude.
  • Job Qualifications: Valid Driver’s License; Customer Service Experience
  • Schedule: Flexible Day/Evening and Weekend Hours

GREETER/RECEPTIONIST (part-time)

  • Position Overview: Candidates must have the ability to be self-directed and work with limited supervision. Must have the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.  Requires superior written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.  This position takes patience and a calm, positive customer service attitude with the customer first in mind at all times. 
  • Job Qualifications: High School diploma. Customer Service Experience. Receptionist positions requires administrative experience with at least one year in a business environment using multi-line telephones.
  • Schedule: Flexible Day/Evening and Weekend hours.

administrative assistant (full-time)

  • Position Overview: Candidates must have the ability to be self-directed and work with limited supervision. Must have the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.  Requires superior written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.  This position takes patience and a calm, positive customer service attitude with the customer first in mind at all times.
  • Job Qualifications:Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Internet/Google applications. Adobe Photoshop knowledge recommended. Switchboard experience is necessary. High School diploma and 3 years related administrative experience with at least one year in a business environment using multi-line telephone required.
  • Schedule: 

    8 to 5 p.m. M-F – one Saturday a month from 7:30 a.m to Noon (later if needed)
