Our website provides families the opportunity to write longer versions of obituaries at no cost. It also allows family and friends to post comments and condolences. You can sign up to be contacted when a new message is posted. The obituary page also allows for photos, video tributes and video recordings. QR codes placed on memorial folders and/or cemetery monuments will direct mobile devises to the obituary page of our website.
Have you ever had to write a “thank you note” to someone and have difficulty finding their address? You are not alone. Many people are no longer listed in phone books. Many people don’t even keep a phone book in their home. Our electronic register pads collect names and addresses of attendees of visitations and services. We print these names in your custom register book and provide mailing labels to assist with sending acknowledgments.
Flowers are a way for family and friends to let you know they are thinking of you. Quite often families are overwhelmed with the out pouring of support and can’t quite remember who sent a particular arrangement. We provide digital images of each flower arrangement, list the sender’s name and print a floral registry in your custom register book.
We customize each video tribute we produce using up to 60 photos selected by the family. You choose music that will act as a sound track to the video. We have a wide variety of songs to choose from, or you may provide your own. The family is given a DVD of the production, and a version of the video is placed on our website. Click here for instructions on gathering photos and music for video tributes.
Music can be an important part of any service or gathering. Our music library has thousands of songs to choose from. Some families just select a song or two to play during a service, others will choose hours of music to play as background music during a visitation.
Many of our chapels are equipped with audio and video systems that can play content provided by the family. Some families have created slide shows on their lap tops, posted video to YouTube, or have a playlist created on a phone or other device. We may be able to share these as part of a service or visitation in our facilities.
Many people are familiar with Skype, it is a way to keep in touch with family that don’t live near by. Many of our chapels can use Skype technology to connect with a family member that is unable to attend a service or visitation.
Our chapels are equipped to record the audio for services held in our funeral homes. The family is provided with a CD of the service.
A number of our chapels are equipped to video record the service. This video feed may be Skyped at the time of the service. The video recording may also be placed on the obituary page of our website after the service. A DVD of the service may be provided.
Our chapels are large and spacious, but when we have crowds that exceed our seating capacity, many of our facilities have the ability to show the service in other areas of the building. This helps reduce standing room only situations, and provides seats to those who need them.
Our website obituaries link to our Facebook page. You are welcome to share the information. Have you gotten a lot of support on Facebook or Twitter from family and friends? If you would like to share those comments, some of our chapels have the ability to post the comments on our digital signage.
