Staff, facilities and resources of funeral organizations converge to impact the quality of service funeral homes may provide a grieving family. Though distinctive in many ways, we believe there are five key areas that set Iles Funeral Homes apart from other funeral homes serving Central Iowa.
Brothers, Mark and Mike Iles, seek to continue and enhance the philosophy of service and treatment of grieving families in their community, originally developed by their father, Charles W. Iles. Their personal involvement with their community keeps them sensitive to the unique needs of local families, and revenue from services purchased remains in their own community. Mark and Mike have sought to attract and retain the best funeral directors and embalmers in the industry. Their confidence and relationship with their staff allows funeral directors the decision making flexibility to adapt to customer needs. Mike and Mark believe the most valuable thing they own is their reputation. Every staff associate is expected and empowered to do anything it takes to serve our families well.
When your family faces a crisis, we are here for you. The men and women of Iles Funeral Homes are qualified by education, experience, specialization and training to care for your needs and provide you with the one-on-one assistance you deserve.
Averaging over twenty years of experience, our funeral directors have honed their skills by specializing into two Teams of licensed Funeral Directors. Our Care Center Team focuses on the care of the deceased while our Arranging Team focuses on the design and execution of creative funeral services. Our Teams are supported with an extensive pool of part time staff, many with over 10 years experience. We have the personnel to adequately support any size funeral service with enough greeters, ushers and livery persons to insure guidance and comfort for any number of guests attending the event.
Our full and part-time time staff continually train to serve you better. We believe in education and many of our licensed funeral directors serve as preceptors for intern funeral directors as well as instructors for the DMACC Mortuary Science program.
With five funeral homes located throughout the Des Moines metro, Dallas and Boone counties, we are close enough to conveniently serve most families. Our chapels offer different decors, chapel sizes, reception areas and technological advances such as web casting, to adjust to a variety of personal service styles.
Families choosing cremation may rest assured their loved one never leaves our care. Our Dunn's Crematory is designed to efficiently protect the environment and control costs. Our secure identification protocol exceeds industry standards and our private family viewing area allows families to escort their loved ones to the crematory chamber, for personal piece of mind.
Celebrating life the way it is lived requires a level of personalization unique to the resources of Iles Funeral Homes. Families expect personal mementos, such as memorial folders and video productions, delivered on time with consistent quality. Iles Funeral Homes employs a team of graphic and video artists available seven days a week. We equip our staff with “state of the art” printing, graphics, video, technical and sound equipment. By producing and displaying personalized memorial products with our own staff and equipment we minimize cost while maximizing creativity.
Iles Funeral Homes believes in counseling with families to learn their expectations then sets out to exceed them. We survey every family we assist and embrace their feedback to continually improve our service. Twenty years of survey scores show we are consistently rated “Excellent” by our clients. If unfortunate circumstances do not allow us to positively impact a family, leaving them dissatisfied with any of our professional services or facilities, we will reduce or eliminate that charge.
