Alex Broughton Obituary

Alex Michael Broughton, 38, of Deerwood Minnesota passed away on 11-12-2023. He was born on April 11, 1985 in Des Moines, Iowa. Alex graduated from Valley High School in West Des Moines where he was a member of the swim team, A Cappella and Concert Choir. Alex attended and graduated from Iowa State University where he received his BA in Business and went on to earn his MBA.

Alex loved sports, especially football and was a dedicated and true Minnesota Vikings fan. He was a great animal lover, alongside his entire family, and had a special love for bears. He loved games and cards, especially Cribbage and family get-togethers of all kinds. He is survived by his mother, Roberta Melone; his brother Justin Broughton, sister Megan Grasso, his aunts that he was very close to, Lynne Melone and Kelcie Warren, a niece,2 nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Broughton and his grandparents. Memorials may be made to Roberta Melone to help with final expenses.
