Obituary

Alice Faye Bell, beloved daughter of Elmer and Leona Mussman born on August 1, 1942 passed away November 9, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was the sister to Beverly Bishop and Ervin Mussman. She was the mother to Scott Davis, Mitchell Davis, Kevin Davis and Rebecca Travis. She had 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Alice was born and raised in Vinton, Iowa. She attended Vinton High School. After graduating high school, Alice went on to nursing school and became an LPN. She was a dedicated nurse serving as Director of Nurses throughout her career. When Alice retired from nursing, she began a career at Von Maur as a sales associate for many years. She made many friends throughout her career.

Alice was actively involved in the community through her participation in Eastern Star and PEO Sisterhood, which stands for Philanthropic Educational Organization, a women’s organization dedicated to supporting and promoting education for women through scholarships, grants and other programs.

Alice was also a devoted member of her church where she spent time contributing to various church committees and activities. She will be remembered for her commitment to her profession, her community and her faith.

She loved her family and will be greatly missed by all the lives she touched.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Iles Westover Chapel where visitation will begin at noon. Burial will be at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery.
