Obituary

Betty L. Robbins, 81, died Wednesday, September 14, 2005 at Mercy Medical Center. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, September 17 at Westover Funeral Home. Entombment will be in Masonic Cemetery.

Betty was born in Sioux City, where she graduated from Central High School, and was a fifty year member of the Rose Croix Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. She has lived in Des Moines since 1963, was a member of Plymouth Congregational Church, and Past Queen of the Netaker Temple No. 11 Daughters of the Nile.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Terry) Henderson of Des Moines; grandson, Jon Henderson of Des Moines and his sons, Craig and Tyelor; grandson, Scott (Veronica) Henderson of Des Moines and their children, Alyssa and Krisjan; sisters-in-law, Mary Hatcher of Eckert, CO and Vernice Riggs of MO; brother-in-law, Dale Robbins of Spirit Lake; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy Robbins in 2002; parents, Walter and Jesse Hatcher; sister, Grace Olson; and brother, Walter Francis Hatcher.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Shriners Hospital for Children/Twin Cities.
