Obituary

Bobby Webster, 84, died Saturday, February 14, 2009 at Adel Acres. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at the Minburn United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at the Elmwood Cemetery in Minburn.

Bobby was born in Bouton, Iowa and has lived in Dallas Center since 1932. He farmed his entire life, and worked at Iowa Paint for twenty years. Bobby was a Navy Veteran of WWII, a member of Minburn United Methodist Church, Minburn American Legion and the Farm Bureau, the Two Cylinder Club and active in Hawkeye Acres.

Survivors include his wife Elsie; his son, Roger (Judith) Webster of Treynor; his daughter, Carolyn (Dennis) Lancaster of West Des Moines; his step children: Sandra Archibold of Indianola, Sonja (David) Tapps of Van Meter, Rebecca Hollingsworth of Minburn, James (Mary) Allen of Van Meter; grandchildren: Evan Webster, Jared Lancaster; Sabrina, Megan (Justin), Jason Tapps; Tamara (David) Boots; Jake, Molly and Jed Allen; two great grandchildren; his sister Mary Lou Bohnker of Denison. Bobby was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris Ann and his brothers, Vincent and Mike.

The family will receive friends 5-7:00 PM Monday, February 16, 2009 at Brandt Funeral Home in Dallas Center. In lieu of flowers Bobby requested that memorial contributions be divided between the Two Cylinder Scholarship Fund, Dallas Center Rescue Squad or Minburn Rescue Squad.
