Brenda Bohall Obituary

Brenda Sue Bohall, 66, of Des Moines, Iowa finally received her wings on November 18, 2025. A visitation will be held at Iles Grandview Park Chapel on Tuesday November 25, 2025 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at Iles Grandview Park Chapel on Wednesday November 26, 2025 beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will take place at Warren-Powers Cemetery.

Brenda was born on March 18, 1959 and adopted by Harold and Mary Fillman at just two days old. She was a proud East High Graduate of 1977. She was a part of the East High marching band where she played the flute and alto saxophone. She also was a softball player during her time at East as well as into her adulthood. She took her family to various dirt track races throughout the United States.

Brenda loved playing the flute, she was an amazing improv flautist, doing everything by ear. She loved to go to Jam sessions and teach children about music. She started Ms B’s Music and More to encourage and instill a lifelong passion for music. Brenda loved the beach and traveling. Most of all, she loved her family and friends, who meant the world to her.

Brenda is survived by her daughter, Jessica Bohall; father, Bud Fillman; aunt, Jan (Jerry) Graves; and her cat, Jazzy. She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Filman; and her ex-husband, Jim Bohall and Princess the cat.
