Camille Sertich Obituary

Camille Mary Sertich, 78, passed away on March 14, 2025 at UnityPoint Health - Methodist West Hospital in West Des Moines, Iowa. She grew up in Granger, Iowa with her three sisters and brother.

Camille was born on February 26, 1947 in Perry, Iowa to John and Mary Sertich. Camille was the fourth of five children in the Sertich family.

Camille briefly lived in Kansas City & San Francisco, but spent the majority of her life in Des Moines, Iowa. Camille loved cross-stitch and weaving, even touring art shows to sell her work. Above all else, she cherished her family and extended family, being proud of her Italian and Croatian heritage.

She is survived by her brother, John Sertich; daughter Fawn Klein (Sara Springer); her two grandchildren, Avett & Nomi and her many family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Barbara Sertich, Georgiana Neese, and Kathleen Long.

A Memorial Mass will be held 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at Assumption Catholic Church in Granger, Iowa where visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Private burial will follow a luncheon at the Beaver Catholic Cemetery, rural Granger.

In lieu of flowers, donations will be directed to the Assumption Church Foundation.
