Obituary

Cleo Faye Snider, 92, formerly of Granger, passed from this life on Wednesday, April 6 at Woodlands Rehabilitation Center in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, April 11 at the Sundberg-Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Madrid, where the family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Lincoln Cemetery, east of Granger.

Cleo was born the daughter of John and Pearl Ellafritz Hall on April 10, 1912 in Granger, Iowa. She was a graduate of Granger High School. Cleo married Marion Snider and he preceded her in death in 1965. They had lived in Charles City and Granger for 25 years, before moving to Council Bluffs nearly 46 years ago. Cleo was formerly employed with Sears Roebuck & Company for several years as a sales associate in the catalog department, until her retirement in 1977. She was also a homemaker.

Cleo was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church in Council Bluffs, where she formerly taught Sunday School.

She is survived by her son, Dean D. Lee and his wife Marlene of Council Bluffs; daughter-in-law, Nancy Snider of Washington, NE; two granddaughters, Dena Higginbotham and her husband Greg of Council Bluffs and Sandy Palmer and her husband Bob of Omaha, NE; five great- grandchildren; sister, June Tinnel of Boone; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Cleo was preceded in death by one son, Ray J. Snider.
