David Couch Obituary

David L. Couch, 75, passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at Bishop Drumm Retirement Center in Johnston, IA. A graveside service will be held 10:00 am Friday, November 9, 2018, at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Des Moines, Iowa.

David was born October 17, 1943, in Des Moines, IA, to Ernest and Hazel Couch. He married Teresa Murphy on June 27, 1964. To this union two children were born.

David worked for The Diocese of Des Moines for 15 years, retiring in 2006. He previously worked for Kenworth Mid-Iowa and Ruan Leasing Company. David enjoyed woodworking, fishing and collecting truck memorabilia.

David is survived by his Son, Mark (Nicole) Couch of Denver, CO; Daughter, Melissa (Jeff) Cope of Marshalltown, IA; Two Granddaughters, Hannah McDermott and Megan (Blake) Potthoff; Grandson, Sam Couch; Great-Grandson, Logan Michael; and Brother Paul (Kathie) Couch of Minneapolis, MN. He was preceded in death by his Father, Ernest L. Couch, Mother, Hazel Marie Herrick and Wife, Teresa Couch.
