Dennis Wayman Obituary

Denny, 65, passed away after a tough battle with cancer. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 13 at New Life Lutheran Church in Norwalk. His family will greet friends beginning at 10 a.m.

Dennis Eugene Wayman, the son of Larry Dean and Edith Kay (Derscheid) Wayman, was born on August 26, 1957 in Webster City, Iowa. He was united in marriage with Debbie (Maier) Wayman for 41 years and they were blessed with two daughters, Amber and Megan.

Denny took pride in his work and retired from working at Norwalk Community Schools in 2020. He enjoyed sports, especially cheering for the Iowa Hawkeyes and Chicago Cubs. Denny loved spending time with his friends, playing games, and putting together puzzles. His family was by far what he cherished most.

Denny is lovingly remembered by his wife, Debbie; daughters, Amber (Alex) Marusarz and Megan (Jeramy) Vetter; grandchildren: Iyla, Miles, Derek, Jaydan, and Faith; mother, Kay; and siblings: Deann Mishler, Dana Wayman, and Kara Urness. He was preceded in death by his father, Larry.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Make A Wish Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
