Duane M. Thompson, 82, of Kelley, Iowa passed away on March 15, 2021. Duane was born on September 14, 1938 in Slater, Iowa. He and his wife, Sandra, would celebrate their 62nd anniversary this year. Duane loved spending time with his family, farming, cars, tractors and the outdoors. He was a proud steward of the land, being an environmentally conscious farmer raising crops and livestock. He farmed all his life, retiring in 2003.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra; daughters, Cindy, Kim (Eric), Jackie (Glenn) and grandchildren; Jacob, Justen, Calli, Nick, Kaitlyn, Morgan, Zach, Brandon, Samuel and their spouses; and eight great-grandchildren. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

A private funeral was held. Memorials can be made in Duane’s name to the National Kidney Foundation, The American Heart Association or the Israel Family Hospice Home in Ames, Iowa.
