Eloise Dickinson, 76, died Friday, December 3, 2004 at the Kavanagh House on 56th Street from complications of Alzheimer's. Services will be held at Grace United Methodist Church (3700 Cottage Grove Ave.) on Saturday, December 11 2004 at 11 a.m.

Eloise was born on January 8, 1928, in Okemah, Oklahoma and grew up in Seminole, Oklahoma. She was a graduate of the University of Oklahoma and a member of the Alpha Phi Sorority. Eloise has lived in Des Moines since 1956 and taught pre-school at Highland Park Presbyterian Church for over 20 years. She was the president of the Alpha Phi House Board at Drake University for many years and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Chapter FY, PEO and the American Association of University Women (AAUW).

Eloise is survived by her husband, Ralph, of Des Moines, her daughter, Diane Becker (Dan) of Ridgefield, CT., and their three sons, Bradley, Scott, and John; her sons, Glen (Laurie) of Des Moines, and their three sons, Phillip, Joe, and Michael; and Ross (Mindi) of Des Moines, and their daughter Halie and son, Charlie.

She was loved by all that knew her and she will be greatly missed. Memorial donations in her honor may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 1441 Pleasant, Des Moines, Iowa, 50314.
