Obituary

Eva Fraizer, 92, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2009 at Martina Place Assisted Living in Johnston. Visitation will be Sunday, August 30th from 5-7 PM with family present. Services will be 10 AM, Monday, August 31st, at Iles Funeral Home-Westover Chapel, 6337 Hickman Road. Burial will follow at Lincoln Cemetery, Granger, Iowa.

Eva was born in Colfax, Iowa on April 13, 1917 to Milos and Milka Rastovac. She grew up in the Johnston area and graduated from Johnston High School. She married her high school sweetheart Ralph E Fraizer on December 31, 1937. They raised their two children in the Johnston area and upon retirement moved to Lake Panorama where they enjoyed spending their summers, golfing. During the winter they resided in Mesa, Arizona where they could play golf all winter. Eva retired from VA Medical Center in Des Moines where she worked many different office positions, the last one as a medical secretary in the radiology department.

Eva is survived by her daughter Janet (Jesse) House, grandson Mike (Susan) House and four great grandchildren Tim (Michelle) House, Sherry (Brandon) Ewing, Gracie Jordan, Elaine Jordan and daughter-in-law Barbara Fraizer. Four sisters survive Angie Marlowe, Mildred Rastovac, Dorothy Oakman and Mary Jane (William) Van Maren. Her parents, her husband, sister Viola Rastovac and her son Ron Fraizer preceded her in death.
