Obituary

Francis F. Satterlee, 88, died Sunday, December 5, 2004 in Sun City, Arizona. Funeral services will be in two weeks at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 22 at Plymouth Congregational Church. Burial will be at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines.

Mr. Satterlee was born on December 1, 1916 in Mitchell, South Dakota and came to Iowa to attend Grinnell College and moved to Des Moines where he lived most of his life. He was an Army Veteran of World War II.

Mr. Satterlee was a co-founder of Triple F Feeds (now Triple F Inc.) and retired as CFO in 1984. He was a member of Plymouth Congregational Church, National Association of Accountants, Optimist Club, Kiwanis Club in Sun City, AZ, and worked in SCORE. Mr. Satterlee was also Past President of the National Association of Credit Management and served on the Board of Directors of Northwest Community Hospital, Triple F Inc, CADCO and the Mid Iowa Health Foundation.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn "Jeff" Satterlee and is survived by his daughters, Marilyn Jeffries of Clive and Marcia Kirmse and husband Jim of Tuscan, AZ; grandchildren, David and John Wooldridge, Joanne Broderick, Michelle Michaud and Michael Kirmse; three great-grandchildren; brother, Marshall Satterlee of Grants Pass, OR; and special friend, Mary Beth Strowe of Sun City, AZ.

Visitation will be 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 21, 2004 at Dunn's Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to Plymouth Congregational Church or Wesley Acres Good Samaritan Fund.
