Services for Frankie Lee Williams will be 11 a.m. Friday at Grandview Park Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Glendale Cemetery. Frankie Lee, the daughter of Vinnie Henderson Harrington and Allen Harrington, Sr., was born on September 26, 1933, in Montrose, Arkansas.

She was educated in the Thebes and Montrose, Arkansas school system. Frankie Lee was raised on her father's farm and at an early age she was a member of Missionary Baptist Church in Thebes, Arkansas.

Frankie Lee has been a resident of Des Moines, Iowa for 50 years and 15 years ago, she gave her life to Christ, and has been a steadfast Christian every since, spreading the word to everyone. She read her Bible daily and carried it with her everywhere she went. She loved the Lord.

Frankie Lee was a devoted foster care parent for over 20 years and worked at the Iowa Methodist Hospital for over 30 years. She loved gospel music and pictures. She enjoyed home gardening, shopping, meeting new people, dancing and reading.

She was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She will truly be missed by all her family and friends.

She departed this life on February 8, 2004 at the Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa, at the age of seventy. Preceding her in death were loving parents, Vinnie and Allen Harrington, Sr., a sister, Gloria Harrington and a brother, Richard Harrington.

She leaves to cherish her memories one devoted son, Robert Dean Williams of Des Moines, Iowa; six brothers, Horace Harrington of Rockford, Illinois, Bill Harrington and Joe Harrington, both of Des Moines, Iowa, John Paul Harrington of Macon, Georgia, Allen Harrington of Seattle, Washington, and Harvey Harrington of Detroit Michigan; three sisters, Ruth Coleman and Ann Sanders, both of Detroit, Michigan, and Maryann Richardson of Des Moines, Iowa; one grandchild, Princess Lee Ann; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, many friends and acquaintances.
