Obituary

Harold "Butch" D. Kellow, Jr., 67, passed away Friday, February 15, 2013, surrounded by his family at Mercy Hospital. Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and a gathering for family and friends will be held from 6-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 19 at Iles Funeral Homes – Grandview Park Chapel.

Butch was born May 3, 1945 in Des Moines to Harold and Charleen Kellow. He enjoyed traveling across the US as an over the road truck driver. He joined the National Guard in 1963. Butch had many lifelong friends who shared his love for Harley Davidson motorcycles. He loved hanging out with family for holiday meals and cookouts. He was known by many nicknames, including "Cowboy" and "The Mayor". Butch always had a good joke or story to tell.

Butch is survived by his brothers, Larry (Sheila) Kellow and Michael (Candy) Kellow and many nieces and nephews. Memorials may be directed to his family.
