Jack Lull Obituary

Jack Gene Lull, 86, passed away January 19, 2025 at Independence Village of Ankeny, Ankeny, IA. Visitation will be 10-12 PM Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Iles Westover Chapel followed by a 12 PM funeral service. Burial will follow at Masonic Cemetery in Des Moines.

Jack was born July 25, 1938, in Patterson, IA to Howard and Grace (Strable) Lull. He married Karen McClure on June 30, 1963, in Braddyville, IA and they made their home in Urbandale where they raised their two daughters. Karen passed away June 11, 2018.

Jack was in the kitchen cabinet business, owner and operator of New Concept Kitchens. He was a member of Acanthus Masonic Lodge #632, the Des Moines Consistory - Za Ga Zig Shrine and was a U.S. Army Veteran. In retirement Jack and Karen worked part-time at Iles Funeral Homes for 15 years, primarily at Westover Funeral Home. Jack enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs, the Iowa Hawkeyes and anything sports related.

Jack is survived by his two daughters, Carol Lull of West Des Moines and Julie (Eric) Steinhart of Ollie, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Karen; Sister’s, Joann Busch & Marge DuBois; Brother, Dean Lull; step-sister, Darlene Yuill.
