Janet Dunne, 73, died August 18, 2010 at Trinity Center at Luther Park from complications of Picks disease. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, August 23rd at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 2922 Beaver Avenue. Visitation will be 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. Sunday, August 22, 2010 with Vigil at 4:00 P.M. at Iles-Westover Funeral Home, 6337 Hickman Rd in Des Moines. Visitation in Clinton, Iowa will be Tuesday August 24th from 12 P.M. to 2:00 P.M at Pape Funeral Home, 2308 Pershing Blvd. Burial will be at St Mary's Cemetery.

Janet was born in Clinton on March 25, 1937 to Harry Charles Triphahn and Dorothy Bernadine (O'Brien) Triphahn. She graduated Valedictorian from Mount St. Clair Academy. She received her RN Diploma at Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, Burlington, Iowa in 1955. She received her BSN in Nursing from Marycrest College, Davenport, Iowa in 1973 and her MBA in Business from St. Ambrose University in Davenport, IA in 1984. She began her nursing career at the Veterans Administration. She worked at Mercy Hospital in Clinton, Iowa for more than 30 years where she held positions of OB Nursing Staff, Pediatric Supervisor, Director of Pediatrics, Director of Maternity and Child Health and Vice President of Nursing.

She enjoyed reading, traveling, cooking, and bird watching with her granddaughter. She loved to shop, to listen to music and to dance and she loved to shop! Most of all she loved spending time with her family and walking her dog Beau.

She is survived by her four children, Michele Dunne of Des Moines, Marty (Donna) Dunne of Urbandale, John Dunne of Oklahoma City, OK and Jessica Dunne of Seattle, WA.; three grandchildren, Jordan, Brandon and Delaney; one sister Jean (Rick) Warren of Kingman, Arizona; two nieces Elizabeth (Seth) Warren-Pederson and Andrea Warren; and two nephews Bryan (Kristen)Warren and Alex Warren. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her sister Judy.
