John Spencer Obituary

John, 73, passed away May 11, 2025 at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown.

John was born November 13, 1951 in Winterset, Iowa to Forest and Pauline (Paxton) Spencer. Following high school, he served honorably in the United States Air Force. John’s career was spent working at Firestone and Erickson. Over the course of his life he had lived in Winterset, Des Moines, Saint Charles, Norwalk, and most recently, Marshalltown.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, David Spencer; and sister, Mary Spencer.

He is survived by his siblings: Ruth (Don) Taylor, Paul (Sandy) Spencer, Mark (Peg) Spencer, and sister-in-law, Marilyn Spencer.
