Obituary

In Loving Memory of Judie Helen Palmer
September 13, 1947 - October 17, 2025

On October 17, 2025, our beloved Judie Helen Palmer passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, after a brave and faith-filled battle with lung cancer.

Judie was born on September 13, 1947, in Wichita, Kansas, to Bob and Ruth (Hughes) Ross. She attended Catholic schools and Kansas State University, and later in life proudly went back to school to earn her associate’s degree.

In 1979, Judie married the love of her life, Tony Palmer, and together they blended their families — Jody, Kim, Tony, Jenny, Scott, and Kristi — into one filled with love, laughter, and a joyful kind of chaos.

Judie was a woman who worked hard and cared deeply. She owned and operated Reasonable Supply, serving companies across the state. Outside of work, she was happiest when she was with her family — playing cards (especially Canasta with Jody and Jenny), riding horses, traveling, or relaxing at her cherished cabin in Colorado.

Nothing brought Judie more joy than her family. She loved babysitting her grandchildren, cheering them on in every sport, performance, and milestone, and simply being part of their lives. Her love for family was endless and unconditional.
Judie lived her faith every day. She was gentle, selfless, and full of grace — always putting others before herself. When asked what advice she’d leave us with, her words were simple:

“Go to church, keep the faith, and be happy.”

Judie is survived by her devoted husband of 46 years, Tony; her children, Jody (Jim) Webb, Kim (Randy) Kunzie, Tony (Lynn) Palmer, Jenny (Jim) Cataldo, Scott (Francesca) Palmer, and Kristi (Todd) Leeper; her 16 grandchildren, Sydney (Joe), Ryan, Jackson, Lala (Matt), Shai (Jorge), Maci, Cami, Mia (Nathan), Anna, Dante, Gaige, Tessa (Nate), Kasen, Taylor, Ty and Nick; 5 great-grandchildren, Kati, Ani, Luci, Amari, and Tillie; and many loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Ruth Ross; her siblings, Ron Ross, Jim Ross, and Cathie Bohrer; her grandson, Frankie Cataldo; and two nieces, Amee and Julie Boher.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Norwalk, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. A luncheon will immediately follow the service, with burial at 2:00 p.m. at Glendale Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, an organization close to Judie’s heart.
