Obituary

Kacy Marie “KWAGS” Wagner, 18, was called home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus on Sunday, July 29, 2007. On that day, she entered eternal life following injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Norwalk. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 3, at Dallas Center – Grimes High School Auditorium. Interment will follow at Brethren Cemetery, east of Dallas Center.

Kacy was born on June 23, 1989 in Mission Hills, CA to Myron G. “Milo” and Theresa M. McFarland Wagner. She was a 2007 graduate of Dallas Center – Grimes High School, where she had been active in volleyball, basketball, color guard and as a flutist in the marching band. Kacy was currently employed with Wells Fargo Financial Card Services and was formerly employed with Fareway Grocery Store in Waukee. Kacy was a member of Freedom Fellowship Church, where she was active in the youth group. She had attended Riverside Lutheran Summer Youth Camp each year and had always looked forwarded to returning. Kids and animals had a forever special place in Kacy’s heart. She loved to laugh and spend time her family and friends.

She is survived and lovingly remembered by her parents, Milo and Theresa Wagner of Grimes; one sister, Kristen Ann Wagner of West Des Moines; three brothers, Matthew Allen Wagner of Denver, CO, John Eric Septer II of Des Moines and Jacob Andrew Wagner of Shepperd AFB, TX; maternal grandmother, Carole Miller of West Des Moines; paternal grandparents, Paul and Lynn Montgomery of Des Moines; two nieces, Taylor Ann Terry and Bailey Victoria Hon; three nephews, Trenton Matthew Wagner, John Eric Septer III and Dominic Scott Rinner; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and a host of many friends. Kacy was preceded in eternal life by her grandmother, Nellie C. Wilson; grandfather, John L. “Jack” Miller; one aunt and one uncle.

Visitation will be held after 2 p.m. on Thursday, August 2, at Iles Funeral Homes – Brandt Chapel in Dallas Center, where the family will greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Kacy M. "Love attracts people. Love has so much magnetic power that it will draw people towards you." Kacy loved life and everybody loved Kacy.
