Ken Miille passed peacefully into the hands of God at home December 26, 2004. His fight with leukemia is over.

Ken was born September 7, 1929, in South Sioux City, NE to Vern and Clara Miille. He lived in Sioux City, IA until 1974. He graduated from East High School in Sioux City in 1947 and later served in the U.S. Army for two years in Tokyo during the Korean War. After his honorable discharge, Ken returned to Sioux City and married Mary Hulburt on September 12, 1954. They had three children. Ken's career was in the grocery business and he traveled throughout northwestern Iowa and surrounding areas.

In 1974, Ken's job brought the family to the Des Moines area. He lived in Ankeny until 1978 and later moved to Urbandale. He married Linda Reynolds on August 20, 1983 in Des Moines. She passed away January 27, 1984.

For Ken, life was about people and golf. He always said he had a face people loved to talk to but he actually loved to make contact with others. He had a great love for golf and played as often as possible.

Ken is survived by three children, Michele Belden and her husband, Steve of Lucas, TX, Kevin Miille and his wife, Kim of Ankeny, IA, and John Miille, also of Ankeny; his five grandchildren; two sisters, Lorraine Martin of Sioux City, IA, and Phyllis Johnson of Casa Grande, AZ; a brother, Dwayne Miille of Sioux City, IA; and many other relatives and friends who will feel the void of his passing. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Linda; and his brother, Darrell Miille.

Visitation will be Tuesday, December 28, 2004, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Westover Funeral Home. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 29 at the funeral home. Interment will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Fairview Cemetery in Stuart.
