Lily Elizabeth Macke, 20, passed away Friday, February 26, 2021. There will be a private family celebration of life. A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2021, from 11:30 -1:30 pm at Eternity Church, all are welcome to join the family. Masks are required to be worn by all attendees.

Lily was born February 26, 2001, in Des Moines, IA. Lily and her sisters became the beloved daughters of Megan Macke via adoption November 20, 2010.

Lily was an incredible big sister to her four siblings. She loved to be with them, eating Chinese food, dancing, singing, watching movies and doing their makeup and nails. Lily was also a wonderful cousin, vacationing at Disney with Mackenna and her family. She spent time in Colorado with her cousins, Dominic and Ali. Family was Lily’s most important passion along with her faith. She volunteered with her church in the youth ministry and was very involved with Eternity Church. Her time with the youth ministry led her to begin the path to becoming an Early Childhood Educator. She was pursuing a degree in Early Childhood and Youth Ministry.

Before she graduated from DCG high school in 2019, Lily was a member of the Show Choir and a Cheerleader. She also volunteered with the Best Buddies program. She made many memories through these experiences, met her lifetime friends, and her boyfriend of three years, Jacob. She was excited to start her life with him and together they had just brought puppy Cash into their lives.

Lily will forever be in our hearts and a part of our magic moments.

Lily is survived by her mom, Megan Macke; sisters, Flora Macke, Brittney Macke, Sabrina Macke; brother, Nathan Macke; Papa, Jerry Macke of Polk City, IA; aunts, Katie (Scott) Jones of Polk City, IA, Jenny (Anthony) Gavito of London, England; cousins, Mackenna Jones, Dominic Gavito, Ali Gavito; family friends, Josafat (Betty) Bonilla Villasenor of Marshalltown, IA; boyfriend, Jacob Iseminger of Grimes, IA; and her puppy, Cash.
