Obituary

Linda Worrell, 52, of Des Moines, died unexpectedly of a heart attack on Friday, November 15, 2019 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Funeral services will be 6 p.m. Wednesday, November 20 at Iles Grandview Park Chapel. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the service. Cremation will follow the service.

Linda was born in Spirit Lake, IA on November 20, 1966 to Jerry and Nancy (Campbell) Wittrock where she grew up and attended high school. She lived in Jacksonville, FL and Bakersfield, CA prior to moving to Des Moines. For many years, while her children were young, she enjoyed providing quality in-home daycare for families. She was currently employed at Harbor Freight.

Linda was passionate about helping people with chronic pain through her work as a “pioneer” with CBD Oils. In addition to spending time with her children and grandchildren, she enjoyed spending time at the Farmer’s Market and Gray’s Lake. Linda had a heart of gold and an infectious laugh. She led with her heart and spent her time helping people. Linda never hesitated in helping those she loved, as well as those she just met. She was the ultimate example of what it means to “do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”

Those left to cherish her memory include her four children, Steve (Kayceena) Worrell II, of Des Moines, Cara (James) Sams of Urbandale, Katie (Nick) Ball of Omaha, NE, Zoey Worrell of Urbandale; five grandchildren, Malachi Buza, Piper Buza, Madeline Worrell, Zeke Worrell, Luna Worrell; father Jerry (Jeri) Wittrock; step-father Larry (Linda) Morisch; five siblings, Robert Wittrock, Karla (John) Eglseder, Kevin Wittrock, Lori (David) Godfrey, Tim (Samantha) Everhart, Jennifer Huls, many nieces and nephews, as well as extended family members and friends.

Linda was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Morisch, and grandson, Joey Robert Worrell.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the family.
