Louie Ceretti, 80, passed away on August 18, 2006 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at St. Ambrose Cathedral at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 21. Private interment services will be held later in the day at the Waukee Cemetery.

Mr. Ceretti was born in Waukee, IA and had lived in Des Moines since 1996. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. Following his discharge, he worked briefly at The Des Moines Register. He then joined the Francisco Cabinet Company of Des Moines where he served as Sales Manager. He later became associated with the Medallion Cabinet Company of Minneapolis, MN as National Sales Manager where he worked until retirement. He enjoyed traveling, golf and yard work.

Mr. Ceretti was preceded in death by his wife, Serena, in 1996; and his daughter, Denise Flynn in 2005. He is survived by his son, Larry Ceretti; Larry's fiancée, Kellie Stephens; a son-in-law, Andrew Flynn; two step-grandchildren, Jaime Flynn of Milwaukee, WI and Adam Flynn of Kenosha, WI; and a step-great grandchild, Sophia Salas of Milwaukee, WI.

Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Sunday at Iles Funeral Homes - Westover Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Vigil services will be held at 6:30 p.m. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Ambrose Cathedral or the American Cancer Society.
