Obituary

Marcia Louise Bergamo, 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 20, 2024. She was born January 25, 1940 in St. Paul, MN to Clark and Callista (Benshoof) Connell.

Marcia worked in the Johnston School System as a child care provider for many years. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and enjoyed watching many sports including basketball, tennis and football. She enjoyed playing cards and being in a bowling league. Marcia loved her grandchildren and attending any of their events and she loved her cats.

Marcia is survived by her children, Shari (Frank) Gargano, Steve (Sarah) Bergamo, and Stacey Bergamo; grandchildren, Frankie Gargano, Vince Gargano, Jada (Charlie) Briel, Lillian Bergamo and Nicholas Bergamo. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be 10-12 PM Monday, November 25, at Iles Westover Chapel, 6337 Hickman Road with a funeral service at 12 PM and burial following at Glendale Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Animal Rescue League of Iowa.
