Marilyn Jean Wiley, age 81, of Springfield, Missouri, formerly of Des Moines, IA, passed with grace and dignity into the hands of our Lord on Friday, July 20, 2012 in Springfield, while surrounded by her beloved family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 24, at Iles Funeral Homes, Westover Chapel in Des Moines, where the family will greet friends and family from 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, until the service time. In agreement with Marilyn's wishes, cremation rites will follow the service on Tuesday.

Marilyn was born on February 22, 1931 in Muscatine, Iowa, to Raymond O. and Thelma (Brower) Meisky. Marilyn's step father was Albert "Jack" Nyenhuis. On April 2, 1977, Marilyn was united in marriage to Dennis A. Wiley.

Marilyn was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She was passionate in her love for family and friends. She will be remembered for her ability to laugh at everything with a sense of humor that relaxed everyone around her. It was this spirit that carried both her family and friends.

(Cathi) Windus of Adel, IA (daughter and son of Loren Windus), two stepsons, Michael A. Wiley of Oak Creek, CO and Matthew W. (Janet) Wiley of Seattle, WA; and grandchildren, Brian (Mindy) Kramme of Cedar Falls, IA, Stacey Kenrick of Springfield, and Caleb and Helen Wiley of Seattle WA; and four great-grandchildren, Lilian, Paris, Aaron and Arionna. In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Theiker.
