Marilynn Bunn Obituary

Marilynn Louise Bunn, 89, died Monday, May 22, 2023. She was born February 27, 1934 to Louie and Ruby (Love) Frederick in Pomona, KS. Funeral service will be 11 AM Friday, May 26, 2023 at Iles Westover Chapel with burial following at Masonic Cemetery in Des Moines. Visitation will be 10-11 AM prior to the service.

Marilynn married Ronald Bunn on January 29, 1951 in Knoxville, Iowa. To their union 3 children were born, Pamela, Ronald, and Michael. She loved animals, antiquing, the mountains in Colorado, reading books and garage sales. She worked as a legal assistant with Legal Aide in Polk County for several years and owned and operated Classey Ladies Cleaning and Maintenance Service. Most of all Marilynn loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Marilynn is survived by her daughter, Pam (Mike) Dorrell; sons, Ronald (LeAnne) Bunn, Jr., and Michael Bunn; grandchildren, Kimberly (Jake) Ferrell, Lilon (Daniel) Merrill, Derek (Abby) Bunn, Nathan (Catherine) Bunn, Crystal (Michael) Hopper, Celeste Bunn, Veronica (Roumen) Varbanov, Ronald Bunn III, Jeniffer Limon, Jeremy (Amanda) Bunn, Jason (Chris) Brose, Adam (Leslie) Brose, Michael (Corrin) Bunn, David (Courtny) Bunn; 33 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchildren; brother, James (Jeanie) Frederick; sisters, Jeannette Judd; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald Bunn Sr, grandson, Michael Bunn, and infant granddaughter, Tishawn Bunn.
