Obituary

Marvin Tuttle, 77, passed away Wednesday August 6, 2003 at Hospice Kavanagh House in Des Moines. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Granger followed by burial at Brethren Cemetery in Dallas Center.

Marvin was born August 7, 1925 in Winterset, Iowa. He was in the Navy during WWII. After a break in service and doing other professions, he decided to rejoin the Navy, then transferred and eventually retired from the 163rd Flight Squadron of the United States Air Force.

His wife, Ruth Tuttle; son, Mike Tuttle and his wife Michelle; daughter, Vickie Weeks and her husband M.F. "Corky"; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two sisters, Agnes Bauman of Grimes and Virginia Miller of Des Moines; one brother, O. Jay Tuttle of Rogers, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews survive him.

Visitation begins at 4 pm. Friday and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Brandt Funeral Home in Dallas Center. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Central Iowa.
