Maxine Royer, 100, died Saturday, December 13, 2014, at Carroll Health Center in Carroll, IA. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 23, at Iles-Brandt Chapel in Dallas Center where the family will receive friends from 10 – 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at the Brethren Cemetery.

Maxine was born June 5, 1914, in Dallas Center to Ray and Laura (Brittain) McCallum. She married Harry Glenn Royer on July 31, 1934, and they made their home on the family farm in Dallas Center where they raised their three daughters. Maxine lived on the farm until 2012 when she moved to Carroll, IA to be closer to family.

Maxine is survived by her daughters, Judy (Roger) Reves of Crossett, AR, Janet (Lon) Mosman and Mary Jane Royer both of Carroll, IA; her grandchildren, Cindy (Dwayne Ambrose) Reves of Honolulu, HI, Nancy (Paul) Schwartz of Crossett, AR, Doug (Jeannette) Fricke of Johnston and Craig (Beth) Fricke of Carroll; six great-grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, nine step-great-grandchildren, three step great-great-grandchildren, and her sister-in-law, Mary McCallum of Dallas Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her stillborn son, Ray Edward Royer.

Memorial contributions may be made to New Hope Foundation in Carroll or Grace Brethren Church in Grimes. Online condolences will be welcomed at
