Michael Delaney Obituary

Michael, 77, passed away March 13, 2025. His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 25 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, with his interment at Iowa Veterans Cemetery at 2 p.m. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Monday, March 24 at Iles Westover Chapel.

Michael Edward Delaney, the son of Walter Leo and Bonnie (Sheppler) Delaney, was born March 17, 1947 in Tulsa, OK. Following completion of high school at Creighton Preparatory in Omaha, he then attended and graduated from the University of Nebraska-Omaha. Michael was united in marriage with Rebecca Duncan on July 12, 1969 in Omaha. He then served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. Michael worked as a sales manager for Lewis Systems of Iowa. He enjoyed baseball, Nebraska football, sports, travel, and spending time with his family.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Becky; and twin daughters, Jennifer and Jenna.

Michael is lovingly remembered by his children: Jeff (Jodi), Ken (Cindy), and Mick (Kenzie); grandchildren: Kristen (Clint), Matt, Katie, Peyton, Morgan, Liam, and Laityn; brothers: Jack and Jim; and sisters: Jeanne Wilkie and Maureen Barth.
