Pamela Margaret Cox, 88, died Saturday, February 5, 2011 in Panora, Iowa. She was a long-time resident of Windsor Heights. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Theresa's Catholic Church, Merle Hay & University in Des Moines, on Tuesday, February 15, at 10 AM with interment at Glendale Cemetery in the Spring.

Pam was born on April 1st, 1922 in Melbourne, Australia to Thomas Fowell and Berryl I. (O'Bryan) Buxton. She met her husband, Miland C. Cox, US Army, in Melbourne, Australia in 1942. They were married on September 21, 1944. Following the war they moved to Chicago, and in 1950 to Des Moines where they raised their family of three children; Carolyn (Carroll D. Johnson) Independence, MO., Bryan (Karen) Panora, IA, and Kevin (Deborah) San Leandro, CA.

Pam worked as a school secretary for the Des Moines School district for 23 years. She loved to travel and was an avid bridge player.

She is survived by her three children and their spouses; four grandchildren, Brennan, Lindsay, Ashley, and James; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins in both the United States and Australia. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1996.
