Obituary

Patricia “Patty” K. Frost, 73, passed away peacefully April 24, 2019 at Taylor House. A gathering for family and friends will be held from 3-5pm, Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Iles Westover Chapel.

Patty was born January 15, 1946 in San Diego, California to parents Glenn K. and Donna Lee (Goode) Eaton. She graduated from Des Moines Tech High School in 1964 and worked in sales for Sears for 28 years before retiring. In the early 70's she was involved in, Junior Achievement and a Women's Social Sorority. In 1991 she was united in marriage to Marlyn Frost and they made their home in Des Moines. In 2001 they retired. They spent their winter months in Texas and their summer months camping at Adventureland Camp Ground and working at Adventureland for 10 years.

Patty was an amazing cook. She loved camping, NASCAR, hunting for mushrooms, and baking for family and friends. She enjoyed sewing and making baby books, wedding books, Easter baskets and Christmas baskets for her children, friends, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Patty is survived by her husband, Marlyn; children, Michelle Davis (Mike Mitchell) and Craig W. (Missy) Spring and step children, Jim (Becky) Frost, Marlene (Brian) Speedling and Tawnya (Andy) Vry; grandchildren, Brooke Davis (Eric Allen), Alex Davis, Max Davis (Tacilyn Shinkle) and Dan Mitchell (Caitlyn Maxwell), Joe Spring and Morgan Spring; step grandchildren, Brandon Speeding, Brian Speedling, Jennifer (Jake) Keese, Brian (Krista) Frost, Kathy Vry and Melanie Vry; great grandchildren, Oliver Davis, Acelynn Zuel-Davis, Coulson Allen; step great grandchildren, Anniston Keese and Adley Keese; her brother, Jeff (Cheryl) Eaton, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Roger Eaton.
