Robert Clarence Clark, 77 of Des Moines, Iowa passed away during the night at home.

Bob was born April 2, 1943 in Salina, Kansas, to Norman Clarence & Edith Fay (Miller) Clark. The family moved to Des Moines in 1955 where he spent the rest of his life. Bob and Lucy were married August 25, 1969. They had 1 daughter, Carrie Clark, who died at the age of 40 in 2012.

Bob worked his entire career as a sanitation truck driver for BPI serving commercial accounts. Saying he LOVED to fish is an understatement. He had a reputation for not giving up, even though the fish had probably left the area. Lucy said his first love was fishing and she was second. They did travel together for many fishing trips, as well as vacations to California, Las Vegas and Branson, Missouri. He also puttered in the man cave (garage), enjoyed family gatherings, and collecting antique milk bottles.

Survivors include wife Lucy, sisters Virginia (Ron) Garrison, Mary Wilson, and brother Dale (Charlene) Clark, Sr. Preceding him in death was his daughter Carrie Clark, sister Avis Tapley, brothers Norman Joe Clark, Kenneth Clark, and Frank Clark.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at Grandview Park Chapel, 3211 Hubbell Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa. The family will greet friends for visitation one hour before the service. Burial at Altoona Cemetery, Altoona, Iowa will follow the service.
