Rosina was born June 22, 1980, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Gordon Olaf and Barbara Louise (Flasch) Hendrickson. She attended West Des Moines schools and graduated from Valley High School in West Des Moines in 1998. She attended Augustana University in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, from which she graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in 2002. She earned a Master of Arts in Catholic Studies in 2009 from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Rosina worked tirelessly throughout her career to spread the Catholic faith as a religious educator in parochial and then diocesan positions in Alabama, Texas, California, Iowa, and Illinois. She was known across the country as an expert on intergenerational religious education, bringing children and adults together in the love and knowledge of God. She strengthened the faith of many through her work as Training and Events Coordinator for Liturgical Training Publications in Chicago. She concurrently worked at St. Thomas the Apostle Church as Coordinator of Family Faith Formation. Her knowledge of Catholic faith, traditions and resources was exceptional. She was a living witness to Christianity and Christ’s love for all people.

Rosina made mission trips with the Maryknoll Society to Jamaica, Cambodia, and Guatemala. She was an avid reader and excellent cook who loved cooking for large gatherings, attending cooking classes, and collecting recipes. Rosina also collected railroad memorabilia and books, and for years she was a highly regarded volunteer at the California State Railroad Museum. Rosina was known to organize beautiful liturgies and to patronize the symphony, museums, and the theater.

Rosina is survived by her mother, Barbara Flasch Hendrickson; her brothers, Anders O.F. (Marie) Hendrickson of Waukesha, Wisconsin, and Karl F.F. (Renee) Hendrickson of South Saint Paul, Minnesota; and her nieces and nephews, Maria, Thomas, Gianna, Andre, Stella, Cora Marie, and Teresa Hendrickson. She was preceded in death by her father.

Contributions in Rosina's honor may be made to the Maryknoll Society or the California State Railroad Museum. Gifts of flowers are preferred to be sent to St. Plus X Church in Urbandale, Iowa. Online Condolences are welcome at www.IlesCares.com.
