Sandra Tidwell Obituary

Sandra Lee Tidwell, 79, of Grimes, IA, passed away peacefully at her home on July 19, 2024.

Sandra was born September 13, 1944, in Knoxville, IA, daughter of Paul and Erma (Jones) Sevedge. Sandra received her education in Des Moines and graduated from North High School in 1962. She was a stay-at-home mother to her four children before working for the City of Clive where she eventually retired.

Sandra enjoyed attending family functions, sporting events, capturing moments through pictures and the simple joys of life. Those who knew Sandra knew support and love.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Dennis Sevedge, and her husband Gerald of 47 years in 2009.

Sandra is survived by her four children, Valerie (Marshall) Coleman, Christopher Tidwell, Jennifer (Tyler) Ryerson and Stephanie (Brad) Sanders, as well as grandchildren, Avery Tidwell, Ella Gehl, Hannah (Joseph) Connot, Joshua (Madyson) Coleman and Jorjah Tidwell.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Iles-Brandt Chapel in Dallas Center. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Sunny Hill Cemetery, Grimes, IA.
