Sharon Ellsworth Obituary

Sharon L. Ellsworth, 75, of Des Moines, IA passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at her home.

Sharon was born March 24, 1947, daughter of Joseph and Dorothy (Rupe) Barnes. She received her education in Des Moines and attended East High School.

Following her schooling Sharon started raising her family in Des Moines. Sharon worked as a CNA for various nursing homes and in home care, also while taking care of sick family members. In March of 1976 she married Warren Ellsworth until his death in 1993.

In her free time she enjoyed watching westerns, reading books, crocheting, and spending time with family.

Sharon was preceded in death by her father, Joseph; dad, Bernard; husband, Warren; two brothers, Walter and Joe; sister, Kathy; and two sons, Curtis and little John.

She is survived by her children, James (Alisha) Jennings, John Jennings, Bernard Jennings, Mary (James) Sleeth, and Susan (Bob) Titus; 8 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; her mother, Dorothy Barnes; a brother, Wayne Barnes; and a sister, Linda Markle.
