The world lost a beloved mother, wife, friend, and sister on February 6, 2023 at 12:05 a.m. Sheryl Norton Dexheimer gracefully left us to join our Lord and many loved ones in heaven. Sheryl is a warrior that has battled ovarian cancer until her body was too tired to move on. She passed away with her youngest daughter as her caregiver and at her bedside through every moment and every step of her courageous battle until she took her last breath here on this earth.

Sheryl Norton Dexheimer was born on January 7, 1947 to Mr. Hugh and Eva Norton in Columbus Georgia. She was united in marriage to Carl Donald Dexheimer, in her hometown of Columbus Georgia on February 25, 1968. They proceeded to have 2 beautiful daughters, Amy Dexheimer Aleksiejczyk of Davenport, spouse Micheal Aleksiejczyk, and two daughters Brianna and Addison. Her other daughter is Shannah Baldwin of Waukee, IA, spouse is Dean Baldwin, grandchildren Megan Sanders, and Jack Baldwin.

Sheryl carried many careers over the years, Such as Civilian Army employee at Fort McPherson, Fort Benning, and clerical billing positions with Windsor Windows, Guide One Insurance, and Mercy. For over 12 years Sheryl and her husband Carl owned and operated 2 restaurants, The Famous Dill Burger.

Sheryl was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Eva Norton, and two brothers, Larry and Eddy Norton.

Friends are invited to say any final goodbyes to Sheryl. Visitation will be held at Iles Westover Chapel on February 8, 2023 from 5-7pm.
