Sister Veronica Kirscher, CHM, 93, died Sunday, November 6, 2005 at Bishop Drumm Care Center, where she resided. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, November 10, 2005 at the Humility of Mary Center in Davenport. Burial will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Davenport.

Sister Veronica was born October 19, 1912, the daughter of Alphonso and Mae (Sumner) Kirscher in Livingston, MT. She graduated from Park County High School, Livingston, MT and Great Falls College, Great Falls, MT. She entered the congregation of the Humility of Mary on November 21, 1930, and professed her final vows on May 24, 1932.

Sister Veronica’s missions included Torrington Orphanage, Torrington, WY, Sacred Heart School, Glendive, MT, St. Mary Elementary and High School, Great Falls, MT, St. Leo Elementary and High School, Lewistown, MT, St. Agnes School, Red Lodge, MT, Central Catholic High School, Great Falls, MT, Walsh High School, (teacher and CHM Treasurer), Ottumwa, IA, St. Anthony Parish, (teacher and pastoral visitor), Missoula, MT, St. Joseph Parish, (religious education), Libby, MT, St. Francis School, Missoula, MT, St. William Parish (pastoral work), Thompson Falls, MT.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Oliver and Joseph and sister, Isabel Kirscher. She is survived by her sister, Iris McCampbell of Missoula, MT and her brother, Vernon Kirscher of Belgrade, MT.

Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Tuesday, November 8 at Our Lady of Peace Chapel, Bishop Drumm in Johnston with a rosary at 4 p.m., and a vigil service at 7 p.m. There will also be visitation after 4 p.m. Wednesday, November 9 at Humility of Mary Center in Davenport, with a rosary at 4 p.m. and vigil service at 7 p.m.
