Stefan Jenkins Obituary

Stefan Phillip Jenkins, 73, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away on November 22, 2025, surrounded by his family.

Born on May 17, 1952, to Joseph and Doris Jenkins, Stefan proudly served in the Marine Corps before returning home to start a family and spend most of his working years as a farmer.

Stefan was known for his quick wit, big laugh, and love of fishing. He also loved to cook, hunt and teach others the things he knew. He brought joy wherever he went and never missed a chance to make someone smile.

He is survived by his children, Stephanie Weis, Stefan Jenkins II, Amy Jo Felling and Laura Jenkins; along with ten beloved grandchildren, and his siblings, Roxanne, Rosalind and Kevin. He was preceded in death by both parents and his siblings, Joseph and Claudia.

A Graveside service will be held at 2pm, Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery, near Van Meter, IA. A Celebration of Life will follow at the American Legion Post #403, Veterans Reception Center, 910 Main Street, Van Meter, IA.
