Terrance Mock Obituary

Terrance Earl Mock passed peacefully on August 6, 2024, in his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Onawa, Iowa on January 28th, 1940. Ted made several moves throughout his life spending most of his time in Des Moines, New Virginia, and finally settling in St. Charles, Iowa where he lived for the past year. Ted married Jayna Moore on April 9th, 1960. He worked hard to support his girls at various places including the Great Plains Warehouse, the railroad yard, supplied many families with Christmas trees, and helped at the junkyard. He closed his career by owning a slide on the Davidson United Shows.

Ted enjoyed spending time with his girls and all his grandkids. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, being a softball coach, and spending time with family and friends. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and always looked forward to watching them play baseball.

He leaves behind his four girls Kendra Carter-Sandy of Des Moines, Teresa (Dan) Johnson of West Des Moines, Pam Evans of Des Moines, and Crystal Walker of St Charles. Six sisters Barb (James ) Schmidt, Connie (Mel) Philips, Paula Swenson, Lana (Chuck) Brewer, Gayle (Randy) Freel, Rebecca (Bob) Newbury, 16 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren with one on the way, and 8 great-great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He's joining his wife Jayna Mock, grandparents, his parents Hebert Mock and Mary Noble, sister Madelyn Hopkins, daughter Brenda Robbins, and two grandchildren, Tommy E Lester and Nicole Carter, along with many others. He will be greatly missed.

A visitation will be from 5:30 pm-7 pm on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at Iles Norwalk Chapel with a private family prayer service at 7pm. Funeral Services will be held at Iles Norwalk Chapel on Friday, August 9, 2024 beginning at 1 pm with burial and a luncheon to follow.
