Thomas Johnson Obituary

Thomas Lee Johnson of Grimes, Iowa passed away unexpectedly on August, 12, 2024. Thomas was born February 15, 1978 in Des Moines, Iowa. A Celebration of Life service will be held 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 12th, 2024 at the Bethany Full Gospel Church at 3565 NE 56th Street Altoona, IA 50009.

Thomas was proceeded in death by his companion, Saul Johnson. Thomas is survived by his daughter Cassandra (Donald) Backer; grandchildren, Raelynn and Kenneth Backer; his parents, David and Jennie Johnson; his siblings, Dave Conrad of Clive Iowa and Ruby (Johnny) Ripley of Kansas City, Missouri and several nieces and nephews.

In his free time Thomas enjoyed watching Downton Abbey and anything related to Queen Elizabeth. His greatest passion was being Yaya to his beautiful grandchildren.
