Linda Sue Sparks peacefully passed in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family Saturday, November 20th, 2021. We will have an Open House Celebration of Life Gathering Saturday, November 27th, 2021 from 1pm to 3pm. This will take place at Iles Funeral Home 3211 Hubbell Ave.

Linda was born July 28th, 1953 to Raymond and Holly Peck. She grew up on the northeast side of Des Moines in the house her parents built with her 3 brothers. She graduated from East High School in 1971. In high school she was a East High Steppers and enjoyed scooping the loop in her free time with her friends. Her daughters Krisha and Karie came along in the 70’s. They had lots of movie nights, enjoyed camping with the family, and always had a house full of the girls’ friends. Linda was everyone’s second Mom. Linda found her true love Larry Sparks in 1995 and they were married in May of 1998. Linda and Larry loved their adventures.

They would attend Pittsburgh Steelers games yearly and then started exploring the country. A couple of her favorite trips were to the Smokey Mountains and the Black Hills. She loved being with family, hiking, planting her flowers (she thought her yard was way bigger than it was), and the Pecks annual Bake Day. Two of her favorite jobs were JW Perry and working at In The Bag. She had retired from In The Bag but couldn’t stay away and went back part time. Anyone who ever met Linda couldn’t help but love her. Linda was always the life of the party.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents Ray and Holly Peck and her brother Raymond Peck II. She is survived by her husband Larry Sparks, Daughters Krisha Foreman and Karie Foreman (son in law)Donnie Rowe, Brothers Lance Peck and Steve Peck (wife Linda), and Nieces and Nephews Jerry (son Tyler), Jim, Andy, Nate, Big Jeff (Wife Veronica), Rayma, Nick, Sandra, Little Jeff, Willie, And Heather Peck. Her Great Nieces and Nephews (grandkids) Eddie, Kiara, Kyler, Bella, and Ally, Sister in Laws June and Diane, Great Great Nephew and Niece Landon and Olivia.

In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to A.R.L/Animal Rescue League of Iowa or to the Family.
