Obituary

Phyllis Elaine (Moore) Geneser passed away June 10, 2022 at her home in Granger, Iowa.

Phyllis was born to Roy and Twylia Moore, September 25, 1949 in Centerville, Iowa. She had three siblings, Joyce (Mark) Bott, Edwin Moore and Luree Clausen

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Edwin and brother-in-law, Jim Clausen.

In May of 1972, she married Daniel R. Geneser. Dan and Phyllis have two children, Stephanie (Ben) Ireland and Edward (Heather) Geneser. Phyllis has four grandchildren, Ryan Ireland, Kylie Ireland, Haley Geneser and Emma Geneser.

Phyllis and Dan moved around the Midwest in the early years of their marriage before settling down and calling Granger their permanent home.

Phyllis dedicated her entire life to lovingly taking care of the children in her life; whether that be at her early work at the State Hospital in Woodward, the in-home and daycare centers, to then transitioning to focusing on her grandchildren. Phyllis was known by all the parents/families of the children in which she was in care of to undoubtedly give their children the same love and attention she would her own…which was immense.

Please take a moment to think of Phyllis and her family during this difficult time and remember the joy she brought to so many lives.
