Obituary

Melvin Hunter, 76, passed away peacefully at his home in Norwalk, IA on Sunday, January 15, 2023. The family will receive friends for a Celebration of Life from 2-5pm on Sunday, January 29, 2023 at the home of Melvin’s granddaughter, Kasey Porter.

Melvin was born December 30, 1946, in Illinois. He was Self Employed for 40+ years. He enjoyed playing pool and was known to be a “pool shark” in his local pool league. He also loved watching the Dallas Cowboys play while enjoying a whiskey & coke. Melvin adored his family and really loved spending quality time with his Great Grandchildren.

Melvin is survived by his daughter, Wendy Hunter; son, Melvin Hunter Jr.; granddaughter, Kasey Porter; and Great Grandchildren.
