Obituary

Timothy L. Day, 70, of Urbandale, Iowa, passed away at his residence on January 22, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. A committal service with military honors will be held at the Iowa Veteran's Cemetery in Adel, Iowa Thursday January 26, 2023 at 11:00 AM. If you are planning to attend the committal service, please park to the left-hand side of the road near the administration building. We ask that no one enters the administration building.

Tim was born on March 4, 1952, in Lakewood, Ohio to Virgil and Lavona (Anderson) Day. He was a graduate of Hoover High School and attended DMACC. He married Patricia K. Frueh on November 23, 2002, at Lake Tahoe, Nevada and they made their home in Urbandale, IA.

Tim served in the US Air Force in Des Moines, Iowa for 29 years, retiring March 4, 2012 . Tim did several tours overseas during his career with the US Air Force. On retirement he became a volunteer at Lake Red Rock. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, photographing wildlife and his family, and camping.

He will be missed by his wife, Patricia Day of Urbandale, IA; son, Tom (Tammy) Day of Ankeny, IA; daughter, Molly (Colby Martin) Day of Windsor Heights, IA; stepdaugther, Heather (Adam) Gass of Des Moines, IA; stepson, Jason Daniels of Dysert, IA; Two granddaughters, McKenna Day, Emma Martin; and grandson, Landon Day.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Nancy Morris.
