Obituary

Emma Ann Parker, age 20, passed away tragically on Monday December 19, 2022. Emma was born on July 10, 2002 in Des Moines, IA and was a 2020 graduate of Urbandale High School. Emma was the beloved daughter of the late Danielle Remily. She is survived by her father Terrance Parker and grandparents Cornel and Debbie Parker. Devoted granddaughter of Danny and the late Melodie Remily. Much loved niece of Christopher (Jessica) Remily of Highland Park, IL and Michelle Caisman of San Diego, CA. Proud cousin to Charlotte and Jackson Remily of Highland Park, IL.

Taken far too young, Emma left as she arrived - innocent and curious with a world of experiences and opportunities ahead. Emma could be described as an easy going, creative, and artistic individual. Emma was a hardworking and loyal employee of the Hy-Vee Starbucks in Des Moines and aspired to attend cosmetology school. She shared her love of animals with her mom and cared deeply for her dog Ellie. Nothing made Emma happier than spending time with her family. Her favorite days were spent with her Grandma Melodie, with whom she shared a special relationship and her second cousin and best friend Keelie Cannon. Emma loved warm summer days hanging at the pool at her grandparents’ house and her trips to Chicago to visit Uncle Tutu (Christopher).

A Celebration of Life honoring Danielle and Emma will be held from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Friday June 2 at Iles Funeral Home, 6337 Hickman Road Des Moines, IA 50322.
