Obituary

C. Walter Clark was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on March 22, 1935, and passed away on November 9, 2023, in Des Moines, Iowa; he was 88 years old. Walter served honorably in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 to 1958, primarily in the capacity of a linguist and Intelligence Analyst in Taiwan and Okinawa. He got his bachelor’s and Ph.D. from Indiana University. Walter had a long and impactful career as a Professor at Drake University from 1963 to 1998 in the Department of Politics and International Relations. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, four of his five children, his older sister, and many grandchildren. He loved educational travel, learning about world cultures and the environment. He had a significant and lasting impact on so many people around the world. He will be deeply missed. Celebration of Life will be scheduled in the near future.
